Dieffenbachia (dumb cane, leopard lily) is a popular plant.   It has attractively marked leaves.   The sap is poisonous in this one so be careful.   It can cause unpleasant swelling and burning of the skin, especially near the mouth and eyes.   Older plants may become leggy with bare lower stems because the lower leaves are lost in dry conditions.
