Community Gardening For Everyone
Meet community gardeners across the U.S. and Canada making a huge difference in their communities.

Community Gardening for Everyone
Here at Gardening Know How, we believe in the idea of cooperative gardening. Community gardens including school gardens and private gardens, non-profit gardens and neighborhood gardens are all equally as beneficial to the world around us as they are to people the gardens serve.
Tending to plants at a group level lets us all collectively experience the true joys of gardening. And that’s why we created the Gardening Know How Community Garden Grant Program.
What Was The Community Garden Grant Program?
Over the years, Gardening Know How has awarded many school and community garden projects all across the U.S. and Canada with a $1,000 grant.

Meet Gardeners Making a Big Impact in Their Communities
Each and every one of our sponsorship recipients has played a vital role in both the communities they serve and the very people they serve, which is why we are so proud to have been able to support those efforts. We’re also excited that we get the chance to share all of their stories with you.

Watch Our Interview Series
If you’re interested in learning more about these organizations or hearing more of their stories, we’ve launched a video series featuring some of our past recipients. Our host LaManda Joy, author of Start a Community Food Garden: The Essential Handbook, sits down with a past recipient to discuss how the project came about, the struggles they faced and how they overcame them, as well as what’s next for the program.
