Birdfy’s New Smart Feeders and Baths Got Bird Experts Talking at CES 2026 – and Backyard Birders Should Take Note

From an award-winning smart bird bath to upcoming hummingbird and panoramic feeders, Birdfy’s CES 2026 lineup is raising the bar for backyard birding.

This past weekend, CES, formerly Consumer Electronics Show, showcased some of the most groundbreaking tech products releasing in 2026. And while I don’t often pay very close attention to the tech world, there were some very interesting new garden products highlighted at CES. Products like a new smart composter and Gardyn’s new compact hydroponic system were certainly interesting, but as a wildlife-lover, I couldn’t help but be drawn to Birdfy’s extraordinary showing of new, innovative products.

We at Gardening Know How already love Birdfy for their assortment of bird feeder cameras. But despite the popularization of such cameras by a whole assortment of brands on Amazon and beyond, Birdfy is making sure they stay ahead of the pack with innovative new – and award-winning – products. And honestly? I couldn’t be more excited about it.

The Award-Winner: Birdfy's Bath Pro

The product that immediately caught my attention was Birdfy’s Bath Pro, a smart, solar-powered bird bath with a camera. And I’m not the only one who was drawn to this product. In 2025 it won 11 major awards, as well as a special mention on TIME’s best inventions list for 2025, the Smart Birding Product of the Year from Wild Bird Feeding Institute, and a Red Dot Award for product design. Oh, and did I mention that it received the coveted CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in its category?

As the first, and still one of the only, smart bird baths on the market, Birdfy’s Bath Pro ticks all of the boxes. Its camera is scratch and waterproof, it’s solar powered so it needs no external power source, and it has running water so it won’t freeze in the cold months or attract mosquitos in the summertime. But what really sets it apart is the camera.

The Bath Pro comes with a wide-angle camera, which includes a portrait lens specifically calibrated for pro-level photography. It’s automatically able to track birds and adjust its framing to deliver a high-quality, bird-centered video to your app, regardless of how restless your birds are. Plus, it includes Birdfy’s AI recognition of over 6,000 bird species.

And the best part? The Birdfy Bath Pro is available right now, in two colors, with or without a stand, from both Birdfy’s website and on Amazon.

Coming Soon: Hummingbird Haven

Aside from the Bath Pro, Birdfy debuted two new products at CES, which will be available in 2026. The first is an upgrade for their smart hummingbird feeder line: the Hum Bloom. With its innovative design, the Hum Bloom offers unobstructed viewing of your backyard hummingbird – no feeding tray in sight – in a compact feeder that mimics a hummingbird’s natural feeding habitat.

Birdfy’s camera system is at it again with the Hum Bloom, as the professional-grade camera is able to capture even the fastest hummingbirds in both 4k detail or cinematic slow-motion. Birdfy also offers the world’s only AI model trained specifically on hummingbirds. That’s right – this is the only smart hummingbird feeder that can accurately identify over 150 hummingbird species.

Coming Soon: 360 Degree Bird Watching

But perhaps the most exciting new product from Birdfy, coming soon, is the Birdfy Feeder Vista, the only smart bird feeder with a 360 degree camera for an immersive bird watching experience. It uses a dual-camera system that delivers panoramic, ultra-HD photo and video straight to your phone. And of course, Birdfy’s Ornisense AI – which takes contextual data into account as well as bird imaging – will easily identify every bird in your backyard.

While the dual-camera system is clearly a groundbreaking piece of technology, a more subtle innovation also makes this feeder stand out: its bottom-up feeding system. The Vista includes an air pump that delivers seed from a lower storage container to a top-mounted feeding tray, allowing for panoramic views without the feeder getting in the way.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about the small extra features that make a big difference. Most traditional smart bird feeders use motion capture technology to identify when a bird is at the feeder. The Vista includes a weight sensor to ensure the camera is only being triggered by backyard birds – and not stray branches or other passing critters.

Alternatives Available Now

The Hum Bloom and Vista are not available until later this year, but if you’re itching to start watching your backyard birds now, Birdfy has options. They have several standard bird feeders, as well as their mini hummingbird feeder. And, as a bonus, they also have bird houses! Their products are available on their website and on Amazon.

Birdfy Is Making Strides

It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago, smart bird feeders didn’t exist, and now companies like Birdfy are continuing to make groundbreaking innovations in the bird watching sphere. From a smart bird bath (available now!) to innovative hummingbird and panoramic bird feeders, Birdfy is certainly the brand to keep an eye on if you love watching, and supporting, your backyard birds.
