Cardi B’s Fairytale Blossom Christmas Trees Radiate Joy – and Designers Say They Can Stay Up Until Spring
Bring a touch of spring into the heart of winter with blossom-covered décor inspired by Cardi B – a look that’s as beautiful as it is wonderfully fragrant.
The coldest days of winter are still to come, and if you're anything like me, as soon as Christmas is over, you’ll be longing for spring. I've already circled it in my 2026 calendar – blue skies, early-morning birdsong, bulbs pushing through the soil, and the first drifts of cherry blossoms lining every sidewalk.
But winter has its own kind of beauty – and it doesn’t have to be devoid of flowers. When I spotted rapper Cardi B’s incredible Christmas trees on Instagram, I was completely blown away. Decked head to toe in delicate blossom blooms, they manage to feel subtle and bold at the same time. And it goes without saying: they’re a stunning alternative to traditional natural holiday décor.

If you're interested in embracing nature a little more this festive season and want to recreate a floral tree like Cardi’s, you're in the right place. I asked a floral design professional how to craft a lookalike version – and which accent pieces will give it the perfect finishing touch. It’s suddenly very tempting to go all-in on a pink-themed Christmas!
How to Get the Look with Faux Blossoms
Faux blossoms are by far the easiest route – and they’re almost certainly what Cardi used. If you go this way, it’s important to choose good-quality stems or clip-on blooms so they look like the real deal.
The Sggvecsy Cherry Blossom Garland 8 Pack from Amazon, for instance, is perfect for wrapping around the branches of your Christmas tree to create a floral cloak. Bridal hair clips like these AUEAR Silk Cherry Blossom Flowers are another great option, ideal for filling in any gaps or adding a little extra detail.
If you’re hoping to achieve a similar look using a mix of real and faux flowers – or entirely real blooms – the process is a bit trickier, but definitely not impossible.

Get the Look with Real Blossoms
If you're hoping to incorporate living flowers into your decorating this year, Tyler Francis of April and Ashley suggests choosing blooms or branches of blossoms with long stems that can be easily inserted between the branches of your Christmas tree. But don’t just wedge them in – make sure to place each stem into a floral water tube

"Using floral water tubes or vials at the end of your flower stems will ensure they stay fresher for longer when used as decor," says Tyler.
These small tubes work by providing a steady supply of water to the flowers, preventing them from wilting, drooping, or drying out too quickly. Simply fill up a small tube – like these Tessco ones – and then insert it into your Christmas tree. The best part is you only need to check in on one or two blossoms to see if the water source needs topping up (though replenishing every tube will take a little time if you're covering an entire large tree).
Tyler also recommends trimming the bottom of each bloom before placing it into a tube to help encourage better water uptake.
"I recommend first trimming each stem down at a 45-degree angle to help with water absorption and then placing all your stems in water mixed with floral preservatives for at least 2-3 hours before decorating."
The FloraLife Quick Dip hydrating treatment from Amazon is a good choice for this.
