I Bought One Lawn Tool From This Battery-Powered Brand & Ended Up Replacing My Whole Toolkit – Here's Why
I used to dread taking care of my yard, until I discovered this one battery-powered brand. Find out why I ditched my old tools and switched to Greenworks.

When my husband and I bought our first home, I was thrilled—but then I looked out at the yard. Suddenly, I had nearly a third of an acre of grass to take care of, a steep roof to maintain, and several beds and garden paths to keep clean.
Having always lived in apartments before this, I knew next to nothing about taking care of a real yard. The thought of buying gas, dealing with oil changes, yanking on stubborn starter cords, and wearing ear protection to simply blow my roof made me nervous. I wanted garden tools that were simple, clean, and beginner-friendly.
That’s why I decided to invest in Greenworks tools from Amazon. I started with this Greenworks 80V 21" Brushless Cordless Push Lawn Mower, and ended up loving it so much that I’ve since expanded my Greenworks arsenal to five products and counting.
Why I Love Greenworks Tools
One of the features that drew me into the Greenworks brand was their battery system. The same battery that powers my lawn mower works with my leaf blower, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer.
I love that I don’t have to store messy gas cans or make last-minute trips to the hardware store. Instead, I just pull the battery out of one tool, pop it into another, and get to work.
All of my Greenworks tools are lightweight, easy to use, and surprisingly quiet—even the leaf blower, which is a lifesaver when it comes to good yard care etiquette. I don't feel like I’m disturbing the whole neighborhood when I tend to my lawn early in the morning or in the evening after I finish working.
Bu funny enough, I don’t work on the yard myself much anymore. If I can’t find my husband, there’s a good chance he’s out in the yard, happily pushing our Greenworks mower around, trimming weeds from our path, or blowing off the roof (which I’ll happily let him do).

Even other family members have borrowed our mower, and after trying it themselves, ended up buying their own. It’s that good.
My Top Greenworks Picks
What started out as a chore I dreaded has turned into something I actually look forward to doing. Taking on a yard this size felt daunting at first, but my Greenworks tools make caring for our first lawn easy, efficient, and enjoyable.
With no gas necessary and batteries that goes the distance, these tools have taken the stress out of yard work and left us with a healthy, green lawn we’re proud of.
We’re constantly battling with crabgrass encroaching on our lawn and paths. This string trimmer makes it easy to clean up grass and other common weeds from along our house and driveway.
Okay, full disclosure—I don’t actually have this exact backpack leaf blower. I have a regular Greenworks leaf blower, which I do love, but this backpack blower has been on my wish list.
This is already on my holiday wish list! The Pacific Northwest rainy season can take a toll on my home exterior, with leaves and pine needles sticking to my house, dirt splotches ending up on my siding, and—during spider season—an array of spiderwebs everywhere. I’m itching to pressure wash my exterior, so I’m just hoping that my husband gets me an early Christmas present!
