I don’t know about you, but I’m seriously ready for spring this year. All those snowy days that thawed into rainy days and revealed bare borders of brown stems – enough already! But stepping outside my back door – which now happens daily rather than weekly – the sunshine feels warm and it might be wishful thinking, but I’m sure the birds are singing a little louder. But what’s also bringing the joy of spring? Target’s fabulous (and affordable) Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection.
There are sweet faux Sedum stems popped in a simple glass vase, promising of blissful garden days to come. The touch-me textured woven hanging basket would be perfect to hang in a summerhouse or porch, spilling with the stress-free leaves of a hoya leaf artificial plant. And oh, this rattan outdoor urn had me at hello – throw in a pot of grocery-store tulips and it would turn any garden from winter-dowdy to spring-ready.
Do you shop through gardeners’ eyes too? When I spotted this wooden-lidded glass infuser mug, I immediately thought it would be great at keeping the bugs out of my tea in the garden. This 2-inch-high cup-and-saucer matchstick holder would be adorable with a shot-glass of darling grape hyacinths inside, and this wooden serving trivet? A super-stylish stand for a houseplant pot. And speaking of plant pots, how divine are these terracotta-look indoor planters?
Although astronomically speaking, spring doesn’t actually spring until March 20, I’m sticking firmly to the idea that meteorologically, this finest of all seasons starts on the first of the month. And don't forget, the clocks go forward for Daylight Saving Time on March 8, when the lighter evenings will lure us all out into our gardens again.
The three silver birch trees in my garden are already adorned with hundreds of teeny-tiny catkins. My peony has plump pink shoots in the soil, poised for growth. And I’m ready for the season change, too, now these Target goodies are bringing Magnolia spring style into my home without breaking the bank.
The Showstopper Stems
This bundle comes with faux Queen Anne’s Lace as well as two artificial dahlia stems in a beautiful blush tone. Throw it in a vase and it’ll arrange itself and, at 26 inches high, fill a room with warm-weather vibes.
Is there a more adorable spring flower than ranunculus? Not in my book. This artificial arrangement comes complete with a lovely glass vase, ready to pop onto your hall table for a welcoming dose of spring joy.
Peonies are a favorite fanfare in a late-spring garden and this 25-inch stem will fill your heart while you wait for the real thing. Its ruffle of petals in gentle white tones will match any decor, for a fresh, effortless look.
Welcome to Our Home
This hunky chunky braided doormat brings tons of natural texture and a super scalloped edge. There are two sizes (this rectangular 18x30 inches design and a squarer 23x25 inches) and it’s made of coir with a latex backing.
You can stand this clever two-feet-high outdoor planter either way up, so you can switch the look – or why not buy two for same-but-different style? Just perfect for a showstopper planter either side of a front door.
These metal house numbers are selling out fast so be quick! Made of an aluminum alloy powder-coated for a matt black finish, there’s even a ‘No.’ option and underlining bars for lots of extra style points.
Simply Beautiful
The strong shape and glazed finish of this ceramic planter bring multiple shades to its sour cream tones, turning this simple pot into a thing of beauty. And don’t even get me started on that sweet heart motif…
This 17-inch high bunch of faux white cosmos in a ribbed glass vase will brighten a gloomy corner in an instant, the angled stems and filigree foliage bringing a sense of energy. I couldn’t love it more!
The pleated design of this vase is as practical as it is pretty, allowing you to strategically place stems in the troughs of the fluted lip. Those shapely curves are reminiscent of a poppy seedpod for a natural vibe, too.
Get Garden Cozy
This knit throw is perfect to wrap yourself when you go out into the garden for a morning coffee or evening sundowner. It’s crafted from recycled polyester so you can simply throw it in the washing machine too.
Push these two lantern stakes into your lawn and pop in a couple of LED pillar candles, and they’ll cozy up a spring evening in the garden. They’re available in a white finish as well as this antique brass look.
Wouldn’t your cup of coffee taste better in this chunky stoneware mug with an on-trend grid pattern? It’s just the right size to wrap both hands around for a happy garden moment in the spring sunshine.
Layer Up the Loveliness
This 16 inch by 7.75 inch ceramic tray in the most gorgeous shade of green would look fabulous holding a collection of houseplants on a coffee table. Its two twisted handles add a lovely artisan vibe, too.
Pop your smallest houseplants in this glorious gold-framed mini greenhouse that measures just 9 inches high. A hinged front door provides easy access while the pitched roof brings in-the-garden charm.

Easy Evergreens
This 22-inch high faux Philodendron pedatum plant sits in a stylish stoneware container with a sprinkling of artificial soil, so you get the lush effect of shapely big leaves without having to remember to water.
A couple of faux foliage stems are so useful to turn a bunch of grocery-store flowers into a chichi arrangement. These apple-leaf stems are made of polyester and have veining details and buds for an authentic look.
I love the stripy leaves and trailing stems of this artificial Peperomia plant, and the angled foliage makes it look pretty much like the real thing. Its creamy terracotta pot adds a nice touch of on-trend texture, too.
