Everybody's planting pollinator gardens these days. Right around the corner from me is a house with a certified pollinator garden, which is pretty cool. It's also pretty daunting. Is it really necessary to get your garden certified? What if you pick the wrong plants?
Well the good news is, bees don't actually care if you're certified or not. As long as you plant the kinds of flowers they like, they will come. And as far as picking the right plants, I've got you covered! Here are some of the best pollinator garden kits out there. They come with pre-selected collections of seeds and bulbs that bees and butterflies will love, and you can plant worry-free. Let's dive in!
Seed Mixes
This one is a doozy, claiming to contain 63,200 seeds. (Something tells me nobody counted, though). This is a perennial pack, which means you're planting long-term flowers that may not bloom until next year. But when they do, they'll be so worth it! You can also buy an annual pack from the same company for more instant gratification.
This one's for you if you want to watch your flowers up close as they grow. It comes with 12 biodegradable pots, growing medium, and flower seeds. Put them on a bright windowsill or patio, then transplant them to the garden when they're big enough. This one would be perfect to grow with kids.
